When 'Little Miss Blog-a-lot' is not a 'Little Miss Blog-a-lot'...
Hi Everyone,
We are currently in London and I am WAY behind on the Blog. I have been writing my Blog in my phone (what a geek! *grin*), but the computer has been out of action for about six weeks. It literally ground to a halt - every button click could take up to 10 minutes. Finally two nights ago Ray ran a repair on windows and it seemed to fix the problem without killing all of our other programs. (*insert clapping and cheering here*).
We are still having problems with the roaming internet. We bought the card after intense negotiations (and a few exaggerations *cheeky grin*) only to discover that Dell is using a new standard and we are unable to plug it into the computer. So Ray spent ages trying to find an adaptor. Great concept, but they wont be out for another couple of months and then we will have to pay a fortune. The actual card that we require is still under development. As you can tell we are REALLY impressed with Dell at the moment!
Other than that I will have to fly back to Australia for a work visa. The new UK sponsorship rules mean all applications must be made from the country of origin. So guess some of you will see me sooner than expected. This week I will be speaking a company that helps with visas as it will increase my chances. In the meantime I will be a ‘kept woman’. It’s a tough job. Take today for example…. I am planning on heading for the gym, and then might also do some shopping. (*Sigh*) Yep… a tough job. (*Grin*)
Actually in reality I have the task of hunting for a place to live. We are currently staying in a hotel which is costing AUD$200 per night. It is really busy here and a bit hard to find accommodation, so I think I will have my work cut out for me. Our shipment is also due to arrive this week, so we have arranged for it to go into storage. This means that all we need to do is to sort out is the car. We have to get a few conversions done (like Kms to Miles) and then we will be able to drive it.
Well… better go organise somewhere to sleep for the next couple of months. I will keep adding the older stories to the list, but promise to be more prompt on keeping you all upto date.
Miss you all!
