Italy - Sunscreen and Balsamic
Our next detour took us to Rimini. Home to polluted waters, beach umbrellas and future cancel victims. We loved the sunscreen with the ‘oh so safe’ SPF level 2!!! To make it even more humorous they had a health and well being market. Think Italian, think healthy… What do you get? Yep… PIZZA on a wholemeal base! (*chuckle*). Gotta love this place!
As it was now getting late in the day we decided that Modena would be a great place to spend the night. “Home of Balsamic”, I cried… “It should be a cute little town. It can’t be that big.” Oh, how wrong I was. Arriving at about 9:30pm we stumbled across a massive night market. So, with thoughts of accommodation wiped quickly from our minds, we instead went shopping. There was food, clothing, crockery and even a guy who played every instrument known (and unknown) to man. Finally we realised that we needed some sleep and then next lot of fun began. We drove East then West and then back again. Eventually we located a hotel, not cheap, but always better then sleeping in the car!
